Myofacial Release
Unlike traditional massage therapy, myofascial release is an advanced type of hands-on soft tissue manipulation that involves applying gentle sustained pressure to stretch tight and sore areas and, thus, eliminate pain and restore motion.
This manual technique uses sustained pressure into the fascia. In the process, it relaxes contracted muscles and increases venous and lymphatic drainage of the released toxins in the affected area.
If you are experiencing pain in your muscles, tendons, ligaments, or joints, and it doesn’t respond to more conventional treatments, we may incorporate myofascial release into your massage session in order to restore tissue health, increase your range of motion, and improve function.
